How It Works
-
1) Check Availability
Please fill out this form and I will get back to you promptly on availability. Please make sure to include any questions you may have.
-
2) Secure Date With Contract & Deposit
If your date is available and you decide to move forward with booking, I will email you a contract and a deposit invoice to secure your date.
There is a non-refundable, 50% deposit required to hold your date. This will be taken off the final cost of the commission. The remainder will be due before dispatching your commission.
-
3) Bouquet Pick Up or Delivery
If you would like flowers from your bridal bouquet pressed, please place them in water immediately after your ceremony.
I recommend choosing a few center pieces to be pressed along with the bouquet. They will remain fresh longer since they will be kept in water, and this will guarantee I have enough flowers to work with.
Flowers need to be picked up or delivered no later than 2 days after the ceremony—the sooner the better.
We can discuss pick up & delivery options once I know which flower farm/florist you will be working with, and where your venue will be located.
-
4) Press Flowers
I will press your flowers using one of my traditional flower presses. This process takes eight weeks, guaranteeing all moisture is gone.
The first week or so will be spent swapping out layers of printer paper, chipboard, and cardboard. This will ensure the flowers don’t mold in the press.
The press will be kept in a cool, dry space in my studio.
-
5) Design
The fun begins! Eight weeks after pressing your bouquet, I will empty the press and design your piece.
You can see a few examples here and get a feel for my style.
Note: I do not “recreate” the look of the actual bouquet, nor do I work with glass on glass. My goal is to create a unique piece of art to help commemorate your special day, in a style that will age well over time.
-
6) Glue Design
Once the design is complete, I will glue the flowers.
-
7) Deliver to Photographer
If you choose to add a print to your commission, I will deliver your finished piece to Mountain Stash Print House in Jackson, WY. Here your piece will be photographed, edited and printed.
-
8) Deliver to Framer
Once all photographing & editing is done to your piece, it will be delivered to Full Circle Frameworks in Jackson, WY.
-
9) Pick Up or Delivery
Once your commissioned piece is framed, I will email you to coordinate a time and location for pick up or delivery.
Note: Please allow eight months to receive all commissions.
